Taxonomy
Camellaspongia tumula was named by Rigby and Bayer (1971). It is not extant. Its type locality is Granger, which is in an Edenian/Maysvillian marine horizon in the Maquoketa Formation of Minnesota. It is the type species of Camellaspongia.
