Taxonomy
Permasyrinx subelongata was named by Waterhouse (1987). Its type specimen is UQ F74123 and is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L4576, Buffel Hill, Cracow Station, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Buffel Formation of Australia.
