Taxonomy
Tomiopsis postglabra was named by Waterhouse (1987). Its type specimen is UQ F74195 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UQ L4576, Buffel Hill, Cracow Station, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Buffel Formation of Australia.

J. B. Waterhouse 1987Transverse shells with ventral sulcus commencing near posterior third and umbo either smooth, or bearing very shallow furrow, dorsal fold low posteriorly, no plicae or subplicae. Adminicula moderately long, moderately spaced and subparallel, tabellae comparatively short, diverge widely in front of hinge, then subparallel.
