Taxonomy
Spheniscocrinus australis was named by Webster and Jell (1992). Its type specimen is CPC30682 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wandagee Homestead, 7.5 km at 287 bearing, which is in a Kungurian marine siliciclastic in Australia.
