Gyretes giganteus

Taxonomy
Dineutes giganteus was named by Piton (1940). Its type specimen is MNHN IPM R-06998, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Menat (Piton collection), which is in a Thanetian crater lake diatomite in the Menat Formation of France.

It was recombined as Gyretes giganteus by Nel (1989).
