Taxonomy
Archaeoisocrinus occiduaustralis was named by Webster and Jell (1999). Its type specimen is QM F38879 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jimba Jimba Station, crinoid slab, which is in a Kungurian coastal sandstone in the Cundlego Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Archaeoisocrinus.
