Taxonomy
Pseudococcites eocaenicus was named by Haupt (1950). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Geiseltal (Halle collection), which is in a Lutetian mire/swamp lignite/shale in Germany.
It was recombined as Stichotrema eocaenicum by Kinzelbach and Lutz (1985) and Kinzelbach and Pohl (1994).
