Taxonomy
Catillocrinus nerimberae was named by McKellar (1969). Its type specimen is UQ F11240 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nerimbera Quarry, Lakes Creek Siding, Rockhampton, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Lakes Creek Formation of Australia.

It was recombined as Notiocatillocrinus nerimberae by Willink (1978).
