Taxonomy
Liuzhinia reniformis was named by Wei (1981). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Longmendong, Jialingjiang Formation member 2, Emei Mountain, which is in a Spathian marine horizon in the Jialingjiang Formation of China.
