Taxonomy
Dinocrinus noetlingi was named by Sieverts-Doreck (1942). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Berriedale Limestone near Bridgewater (Noetling coll), which is in a Kungurian carbonate wackestone in the Berriedale Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Jimbacrinus noetlingi by Willink (1979).
