Taxonomy
Neomultithecopora providensis was named by Wilson (1994). Its type specimen is LACMIP 12224 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP 14925, C&K Mine Section, Mitchell Caverns, Providence Mountains, which is in an Asselian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bird Spring Formation of California.
