Taxonomy
Stichotrema dominicanum was named by Kinzelbach and Pohl (1994). Its type specimen is Coll. J. Scheven, an exoskeleton (male imago), and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Scheven coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
