Perplexicervix microcephalon
Taxonomy
Perplexicervix microcephalon was named by Mayr (2010). Its type specimen is SMF-ME 11211a+b, a skeleton (partially dissociated skeleton lacking the left leg), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Grube Messel Pit (Senckenberg SMF collection), which is in a MP 11 crater lake claystone in the Messel Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Perplexicervix.
