Plecia avus

Taxonomy
Penthetria avus was named by Handlirsch (1910). It is an impression. Its type locality is Tulameen river, opposite Vermilion cliff, which is in a Lutetian lacustrine horizon in the Allenby Formation of Canada.

It was recombined as Plecia avus by Rice (1959).
