Taxonomy
Phricodothyris toriyamai was named by Yanagida (1967). Its type specimen is GK-D 31165 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tham Nam Maholan, Ban Nong Hin, Changwat Loei, which is in an Asselian carbonate limestone in Thailand.
