Euphemitopsis subpapillosa

Taxonomy
Bellerophon carbonarius subpapillosus was named by White (1876) [Bellerophon carbonareous var. subpapillosus]. Its type specimen is USNM 117995, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 5067, Cokeville, which is in a Roadian offshore shale in the Phosphoria Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Bellerophon subpapillosus by White (1879); it was recombined as Euphemus subpapillosus by Girty (1910); it was recombined as Euphemites subpapillosus by Knight (1953); it was recombined as Euphemitopsis subpapillosus by Yochelson (1960); it was recombined as Euphemitopsis subpapillosa by Yancey (1969).
