Zangerlispongia richardsoni

Heteractinida - Octactinellida - Eiffeliidae

Zangerlispongia richardsoni was named by Rigby and Nitecki (1975). It is not extant. Its type locality is Alden Mine No. 5, Farmington, which is in a Desmoinesian marine shale in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Zangerlispongia.
