Eoformica pinguis

Taxonomy
Liometopum pingue was named by Scudder (1877). Its type specimen is MCZ 2937, an exoskeleton (male with no wings), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Fossil CaƱon, which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large shale in the Green River Formation of Utah.

It was recombined as Eoformica pingue by Carpenter (1930); it was recombined as Eoformica pinguis by Dlussky and Rasnitsyn (2002) and Bolton (2012).
