Peraspalax talpoides
Taxonomy
Peraspalax talpoides was named by Owen (1871). Its type specimen is BMNH 47738, a mandible (partial left mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mammal Bed, Durlston Bay (DB83), which is in a Berriasian marine horizon in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Peraspalax.
