Phascolestes mustelula
Taxonomy
Amblotherium mustelula was named by Owen (1871). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mammal Bed, Durlston Bay (DB83), which is in a Berriasian marine horizon in the Lulworth Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Phascolestes.
It was recombined as Phascolestes mustelula by Owen (1871), Simpson (1928) and Kraus (1979); it was misspelled as Phascolestes mustelulus by Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
