Karpinskiprion ivanovi
Taxonomy
Helicoprion ivanovi was named by Karpinsky (1924). Its type specimen is PIN 1655/132, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rusavkino (Ivanov collection), which is in a Gzhelian carbonate dolomite in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Campyloprion ivanovi by Zangerl (1981) and Itano and Lucas (2018); it was recombined as Karpinskiprion ivanovi by Lebedev and Itano (2023).
