Pseudophaops perditus

Taxonomy
Otiorhynchus perditus was named by Scudder (1876). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Petrified fish cut (Richardson Coll), which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large diatomite/shale in the Green River Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Pseudophaops.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Yunakov and Kirejtshuk (2011) and Legalov (2015); it was recombined as Pseudophaops perditus by Legalov (2018).
