Tritoma binotata

Taxonomy
Mycotretus binotata was named by Scudder (1878). Its type specimen is 3990(4015), an exoskeleton (dorsal aspect), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Petrified fish cut (Scudder collection), which is in a Bridgerian lacustrine - large diatomite/shale in the Green River Formation of Wyoming.

It was corrected as Mycotretus binotatus by Scudder (1890) and Scudder (1900); it was recombined as Tritoma binotata by Wickham (1920) and Keller and Skelley (2019).
