Karanthribus primitivus

Taxonomy
Karanthribus primitivus was named by Legalov (2011). Its type specimen is PIN 2997/2124, an exoskeleton (complete beetle), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2997), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Karanthribus.
