Gonoderina was named by Seidlitz (1896). It is extant. Its type is Gonodera.

It was reranked as the tribe Gonoderini by Nabozhenko (2015) and Batelka et al. (2018).

It was assigned to Alleculini by Bouchard et al. (2011), Nabozhenko and Chigray (2018) and Bousquet et al. (2018); and to Alleculinae by Nabozhenko (2015) and Batelka et al. (2018).
