Taxonomy
Mycetophila nigritella was named by Heer (1849). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Radoboj (unspecified or Heer coll), which is in a Sarmatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Croatia.
It was recombined as Allodia nigritella by Theobald (1937); it was recombined as Epicypta nigritella by Förster (1891), Johannsen (1909) and Oliveira and Amorim (2021).
