Plecia rhenana

Taxonomy
Protomyia rhenana was named by von Heyden and von Heyden (1865). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Krantz Bonn coll), which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - large shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Plecia rhenana by von Heyden and von Heyden (1865), Förster (1891), Statz (1943), Evenhuis (1994) and Skartveit and Nel (2017).
