Protomyia stygia

Taxonomy
Protomyia stygia was named by von Heyden and von Heyden (1865). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Krantz Bonn coll), which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - large shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Plecia stygia by Förster (1891), Statz (1943), Evenhuis (1994) and Skartveit and Wedmann (2021).
