Cydnus atavinus

Taxonomy
Cydnopsis atavina was named by Heer (1853). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Oeningen (Lavater'schen collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Cydnus atavinus by Förster (1891).
