Taxonomy
Anyphaena was named by Sundevall (1833). It is extant. It is the type genus of Anyphaenidae, Anyphaeninae.

It was assigned to Drassidae by Scudder (1890); to Anyphaenidae by Dunlop et al. (2013); and to Anyphaeninae by Wheeler et al. (2017).
