Taxonomy
Acanthophillipsia abrota was named by Yuan et al. (1992). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Guiyang Mineral Exploration Factory, Bed 7, Guiyang City, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine mudstone in China.
