Taxonomy
Trachyceras cuccense was named by Mojsisovics (1873).

It was recombined as Dinarites cuccensis by von Mojsisovics (1882); it was recombined as Cuccoceras cuccense by Diener (1907), Arthaber (1915), Spath (1951), Zhao and Wang (1974) and Fantini Sestini (1988).
