Taxonomy
Huishuites ellipticus was named by Zhao and Wang (1974). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Duanshan, Huishui County (Qingyan Formation), which is in an Aegean marine horizon in the Qingyan Formation of China. It is the type species of Huishuites.
