Taxonomy
Ammonites (Ceratites) binodosus was named by Hauer (1850). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Ceratites binodosus by von Mojsisovics (1882), Arthaber (1896), Arthaber (1896) and Arthaber (1915); it was recombined as Paraceratites binodosus by Spath (1934), Zhao and Wang (1974) and Fantini Sestini (1988); it was recombined as Schreyerites binodosus by Monnet et al. (2008) and Vörös et al. (2022).
