It was assigned to Arthrodira by Woodward (1891); to Arthrothoraci by Jordan (1963); to Phyllolepina by Denison (1975); and to Phyllolepida by Stensiö (1934), Stensio (1934), Stensi (1934), Stensio (1934) and Goujet and Young (1995).
