Taxonomy
Aulagonoceras plicatum was named by Zheng (1984). Its type specimen is NIGP 34390, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhongying Section Bed 33 (QZ-17), Qinglong County, which is in a Changhsingian coastal mudstone in China.
