Taxonomy
Eothinites convexus was named by Leonova (1989). Its type specimen is PIN 3591/258, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shindy River, bed 4, Pamir Mountains, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Kochusu Formation of Tajikistan.
