Thamnosia arctica

Strophomenata - Productida - Productidae

Productus arctica was named by Whitfield (1908). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cape Sheridan, Ellesmere Island, which is in a Permian marine limestone in Canada.

It was recombined as Dictyoclostus arcticus by Kashirtsev (1959) and Coogan (1960); it was recombined as Costiferina arctica by Gobbett (1963); it was recombined as Productus arcticus by Yochelson (1966); it was recombined as Kutorginella arctica by Bamber and Waterhouse (1971); it was recombined as Thuleproductus arcticus by Sarycheva and Waterhouse (1972), Sarycheva (1977) and Kalashnikov (1993); it was recombined as Grandaurispina arctica by Wardlaw (1977); it was recombined as Thamnosia arctica by Brabb and Grant (1971), Stehli and Grant (1971) and Angiolini and Long (2008).
