Spiriferella keilhavii

Taxonomy
Spirifer keilhavii was named by von Buch (1847). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Mount Misery, Bjornoya, which is in a Sakmarian carbonate limestone in the Hambergfjellet Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen.

It was recombined as Spiriferina (Spiriferella) keilhavii by Tschernyschew (1902); it was recombined as Spiriferella keilhavii by Tschernyschew and Stepanow (1916), Grabau (1931), Lee and Gu (1980), Waterhouse and Waddington (1982), Abramov and Grigorieva (1988), Shi et al. (2002), Tazawa and Chen (2006) and Angiolini and Long (2008).
