Taxonomy
Halobia selwyni was named by McRoberts (2011). It is not extant. Its type specimen is GSC 132235, a valve (right valve). Its type locality is Brown Hill (CM01BRH-1), which is in a Lacian offshore limestone in the Pardonet Formation of Canada.
