Homaloneura joannae

Taxonomy
Homaloneura joannae was named by Brongniart (1894). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R51277, an exoskeleton (four wings, thorax, one prothoracic lobe, vague head), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN Brongniart coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France. It is the type species of Homaloneurites.

It was recombined as Homaloneurites joannae by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1919) and Handlirsch (1922).
