Taxonomy
Productus sumatrensis was named by Roemer (1880). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Padang Highlands, which is in a Roadian/Wordian carbonate limestone in the Silungkang Formation of Indonesia.
It was recombined as Stereochia sumatrensis by Shi and Archbold (1993).
