Taxonomy
Polyactinella furcata was named by Mostler (1985). It is not extant. Its type locality is Iglesias-Nebida-Sant Angelo, which is in a Lenian perireef or subreef limestone in the Nebida Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Polyactinella.
