Saurichthys (Lepidosaurichthys) dayi

Taxonomy
Belonorhynchus dayi was named by Raymond (1925). Its type specimen is MCZ 1654, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Railway cutting west of Massive (MCZ coll), which is in a Smithian marine sandstone in the Spray River Formation of Canada.

It was recombined as Saurichthys dayi by Mutter et al. (2008) and Kogan (2011); it was recombined as Saurichthys (Lepidosaurichthys) dayi by Tintori (2013).
