Pseudoacrocephalites was named by Maksimova (1962) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Trep-l Cm Trep-u Sepkoski's reference number: 618]. It is not extant. Its type is Pseudoacrocephalites ilgaensis.
It was assigned to Trilobita by Courtessole and Pillet (1976); to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Eulomidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
