Plesiochoffatia thoas
Taxonomy
Parachoffatia thoas was named by Hahn and Hahn (1998). Its type specimen is IPFUB th (m2)-1, a tooth (isolated left m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Guimarota, which is in a Kimmeridgian lagoonal coal in the Alcobaça Formation of Portugal. It is the type species of Parachoffatia.
It was recombined as Plesiochoffatia thoas by Hahn and Hahn (1999) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
