Hantzschel 1975Small circular conical mounds consisting of fecal castings, about 5 to 7 cm high, connected with a vertical burrow; somewhat similar to piles of fecal castings produced by Recent polychaete Arenicola; according to Simpson (1970, p. 150), these castings probably produced by the Zoophycos animal.
