Hantzschel 1975Starlike trace fossil preserved in convex hyporelief; 6 to 7 cm in diameter, maximum thickness (11 cm) in central region (diameter 6-10 mm) from which radiate approximately 30 ridges (1.5 mm wide, 2-4 mm in relief) grouped in “bundles”; ridges commonly bifurcate toward margins and occasionally reach margins.
