B. Kensley and J. Pether 1986Shell proportions somewhat variable, generally longer than wide but occasionally wider than long. Sculpture of concentric lines, barely lamellose anteriorly and posteriorly. Lunule well defined; escutcheon lacking. Pallial sinus horizontal to slightly ascending, apically narrowed. Left and right hinges with small anterior lateral tooth set at angle to anterior cardinal tooth; posterior cardinal tooth in right valve bifid; anterior cardinal tooth in left valve much less markedly bifid, with very narrow longitudinal slit.
