Pesarinia rara

Taxonomy
Mesolyda rara was named by Hong (1983). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Xiaofanzhangzi, collection H8017, Chengde City, which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Jiulongshan Formation of China. It is the type species of Mesolyda, Pesarinia.

It was recombined as Pesarinia rara by Pagliano and Scaramozzino (1990), Nel (2004) and Taeger et al. (2010).
